The first of the 9.8m work boats was built as a multipurpose fast oil spill response vessel and doubles as a landing craft.
The photos show how the client has added bow mounted oil skimming equipment. The dual purpose allows for the boat to land on a small island or remote coast line to offload a pair of ATV’s or a 4wd vehicle for coastal management work.
The cabin is a walk-through from the landing barge bay through to a walkway between the engines. In the photos you can see a bollard slightly aft and between the two engines which is helpful for towing. This bollard is easily removed. The boat in the photos was fitted with a winch for the aluminium construction door and it is fitted with a 500kg crane.
